Scottish Highlander
The Scottish Highlander originated from the Scottish Highlands, hence their namesake. The Highlands stretch over 10,000 square miles over northern Scotland.
Unlike other cattle breeds, Highlanders have two coats of fur. The outer coat can grow longer than a foot. The well-oiled fur allows the animal to shed precipitation easily.
Scottish Highlanders eat plants and grass. They have been known to use their horns to uncover food from snow-covered grounds.
